Speaking engagements can be tailored to your specific needs. We aim to offer audience inspiration, and to gain new insights, personal renewal and motivation to venture into communities to create sustainable social change through the power of media. Simon Weinberg, Co-founder of Big Voice Pictures, is an inspirational and keynote speaker at leading conferences, military bases, universities and colleges throughout the country.
Filmmaking is a process that doesn’t stop once a film is made. Our style of filmmaking incorporates a call-to-action designed to influence the hearts and minds of viewers, and to motivate social action. Our interactive workshops inspire viewers to become part of the film experience by bringing needed change within communities, offering specific ‘take home’ action steps to create change within communities and organizations.
During these workshops we also highlight the special work we do behind-the-scenes in filmmaking: how we shape our stories; the importance of developing trust; building authentic relationships with on-camera participants; distilling the stories that have archetypal messages for the individual, the community, the larger culture; the importance of listening, empathy and compassion and ongoing friendships with on-camera participants who share in the ongoing journey of social change. We illustrate the power of community screenings, and forging collaborative relationships with leading organizations to create movements and grassroots change.
We’ve had great interest in our workshop: Boys and Men Healing: A Hero’s Journey, a lively, interactive workshop focusing on the healing journey of the male survivors of childhood abuse featured in our film– and the power of telling their stories. In these workshops we also highlight our storytelling style–following the inspirational model of the hero’s journey in filmmaking.

As part of our outreach work, we also collaborate with leaders and organizations, bringing our films to universities and communities along with panel discussions. To learn more visit our Outreach page.

They also provide individual and couple counseling, as well as a specialized healing program for men who have experienced sexual or physical abuse as children, anger management, emotional intelligence and fathering. We also collaborate with MaleSurvivor.org, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to overcoming sexual victimization of boys and men. MaleSurvivor screens Boys and Men Healing throughout the country as a part of their Dare to Dream Events and panel discussions. Dare to Dream, a free event open to the public, is intended for male survivors of sexual abuse/assault and their loved ones-supportive partners, friends, or family members, and mental health professionals. The events offer a message of hope and healing for abuse survivors, helping male survivors lift the veil of secrecy and shame from their experience. The program features Boys and Men Healing, and facilitated panel discussions with leaders in the field.
